
Alberta Builder Connect, wholly owned by the Canadian Home Builders’ Association - Alberta and the local HBAs, is a web portal that brings industry specific job seekers directly to you. Potential employees log in to their Career Management Centre and register for Careers Direct, an instant job opportunity notification system. Together all the elements to help the home building industry match the ‘need’ with the ‘want’, and keep your business running smoothly and efficiently.
The Built GreenTM Program represents a new way of building homes that benefits the home buyer, the community, and the environment. Launched in Alberta in 2004, this voluntary program represents members and over registered Built GreenTM homes in the Edmonton region. Since 2005, 2626 Built Green homes have been constructed in the Edmonton area. CHBA-Edmonton Region currently has 81 BuiltGreen Members.
The Certificate of Recognition, or better known as COR, is issued to employers in the construction industry who develop and implement health and safety programs that meet established standards. COR is an essential component of the WCB's Partners in Injury Reductions (PIR) program, and provides reductions in WCB premiums. Working towards COR or SECOR (Small Employer Certificate of Recognition) in safety demonstrates your commitment to the health and safety of your employees and is becoming an expectation in the home building industry.
Get it in Writing! is a national campaign carried out by the Canadian Home Builders’ Association with support from the Government of Canada. It provides information to help consumers make informed choices when they build, renovate, or repair their home. The advice to homeowners is simple — it’s OK to trust a contractor, but verify what you discuss and get ALL the details in writing.

The RenoMark™ program identifies renovation contractors in Canada who have agreed to a renovation specific code of conduct, who provide warranties, who understand the value of customer service during and following projects and who are constantly exposed to information on current trends, the latest materials and regulations.
The Builder/REALTOR® Cooperation Program allows builder member companies and their sales people to work together with Realtor representatives to serve prospective new home buyers in the Edmonton area.
